So I've been trying to the life thing, apparently I'm still not that good at it. I did get my yellow belt in Krav Maga. Least I did something right. I don't know just feeling a little down I guess. I am tired of my heart having a revolving door. A guy enters it and after seeing what's there and quickly leaving, not even friends. One of these days I will learn to stop being so trusting and open. I should probably just go watch He's Just Not That Into You, and take notes.

On a positive note I have lost weight, feel better health wise, have great real friends, and yeah I running out of positive things ...

Sorry just been meaning to blog but kept forgetting. I have lost around 124lbs. Yay!!! I feel better, I am doing more. I take Krav Maga classes. Its the Israeli Military Self Defense. Its really intense. I have been at it since mid April. Its helping me a lot, both physically and mentally. I think my confidence is slowly but surely coming back. I now wear a size 18 in pants and an XL in shirts. I've come a long way from size 34 and 5 or 6X. I am starting to feel like a normal person. I know I still have a ways to go but I'm not frustrated over it.

Bandiversary

So a year ago today my life changed for the best. I had my lapband surgery March 18, 2008. I am still amazed with it. I think at this point I should name my band. I will have to think of some great names. So I have now lost around 115lbs. I feel great but some days I have my down days when I look in the mirror and still see the same person that was there a year ago. I know its crazy. I am now finding that I have to deal with new things. Things like learning how to take a compliment. This is the most difficult thing for me to get over. After years of not getting compliments then all of sudden there they are. Who could change over night to deal with it. But I am trying. I learned to smile and simply say "thank you" altough sometime and occasional "you need glasses" or "liar!" will slip out So that's what's on my mind today.

March 12, 2009 will be my bandiversary. I hoping to have lost 100lbs by that date. Right now I am at 91lbs. I have been on vacation from work, so I haven't been working out as much either. I've lost about 3 pounds the past 2 weeks. I am happy with that.

So yesterday I went to see Zach and Miri Make a Porno. I loved it. Lots of LOL momments. If the theater had been empty, I'm sure I would have snort laughed. Thank you Kevin Smith. Yesterday also marked the 91lb accomplishment. So I took a quick pic in the car.

I got on the scales today and hit the 80lb mark. I can't believe I have lost 80lbs. I still have a ways to go but I am happy with the results.

Well the Chicago trip has been canceled. I guess maybe there will be another one planned for next year sometime. Vegas for New Years is still on the books. I look at it this way, I will be able to save more money for Vegas now. Plus that gives me more time to lose more pounds/inches before my friends that haven't seen me in a year see me. If that even makes sense. I haven't lost any in the past week or so but I think I might have lost some inches. I take the stairs more also. Sunday, I tried on a pair of jeans that wouldn't even button the week before. guess what? They buttoned and zipped up. They were a little tight but it's not like I am wearing them. I will wait till they get a little more comfortable. The odd thing about these jeans is that the first time around they seemed tight in the thigh area and now when I tried them on, they were actually too lose in that area. I have a feeling I am going to have a hard time finding jeans that fit perfect. Oh well, as long as they keeping getting smaller in size, I don't care.

Last Saturday I did the walk from obesity. It was fun. I wish I lived closer to the city, I would that walk every weekend morning. I didn't think to take pics, maybe somebody did from our team and I can get some from them. I also won a free fill from my doc's office. Yay!!!

Well I had my third fill on September 8th. So now I am now down 73lbs. Energy started to come back to me. I take the stairs as much as possible at work. Then some days I am just lazy. I am looking forward to my trip to Chicago, so much to see there and so many places to walk around. I hope I will need some new clothes by then.

Well six months in, I am now down 66lbs. It really made my day. To celebrate, I treated myself to a movie. I saw Hamlet 2. Loved it! Steve Coogan is amazing. So I took some pics before I left for the movie.

I also tried the Vivano (spelling may be off) from Starbucks. The Banana Chocolate was pretty good.

Well my friend Kris is engaged so we all went out to celebrate. Bar food is so not healthy so I ordered chicken tenders. I really wanted a beer though. I got water instead. Still at 61lbs gone. I need a jumpstart or something. I am not complaining though. Here are a few pics of that night.

Saturday we went to the movies. Tropic Thunder is worth seeing. I admit, I love Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. I have never laughed out loud so much during a movie. After that we decided to see Mummy 3. It was fun for what it was. Plus, Jet Li and Russell Wong!! I was in heaven.

Been keeping my calorie intake at or around 800-900. Worked in the yard and stuff too.

Living in the country, you come to learn to deal with a lot of pest and stuff. Well we have new pests. Sunday morning I woke up to cows in my yard! About 20 of them. I miss city life.

We saw this mirror at the Mall Sunday and we thought it was a fun house mirror that made us look smaller, turned out it was a real mirror. My mom has lost weight too, now her legs are all skinny.

I got up this morning, my head all stuffy and a little fever. Or maybe my fever came from seeing James Franco in Flyboys.

Well yesterday I tried honey mustard chicken wings, I ate 2 small wings. They were ok, but I think I will stick to boneless wings or chicken tenders. The guys at work just love chicken wings so I wanted to see what the fuss was. Well now I know I am not a wing girl. To make up for my lunch that was less than thrilling, I made a low carb pizza using low carb fajita wheat tortilla, mushrooms, turkey pepperoni, tablespoon of pizza sauce and low fat mozzarella. It was delish. I'm glad I found turkey pepperoni.

It is now 3:45PM and all I had today was half a bowl of multigrain cheerios. Think for dinner tonight it will pinto beans and baked chicken breast. I am so glad I can handle chicken. There are some people that have the band that can't handle chicken. I found out that I can't handle eggs, pineapples, regular sliced bread, and baked ruffles anymore.

Well first off, I had lapband surgery March 18, 2008. I decided that I should start blogging as a way to help myself be more accountable for my actions during my weightloss journey and life. So let me start by saying that I have lost 55lbs, yay!! Now I kind of feel I am at a slowing down point which I don't want. My goal is to blog at least once a day, we will see how that goes.
